October
It was an October of firsts for the girls. Mia's first Halloween and her first word - Mama! Rylie's first field trip and first time holding a bunny. The girls also had their first bath together. We went to two different pumpkin patches, we trick or treated as Dorothy and Toto and we celebrated Uncle Ben turning 18.

We have a tradition of celebrating Halloween with our friends the Hernandez family and the Stafford family. It's always a fun night with the kids dressing up, trying to get them to eat amidst all the excitement and then trick or treating! This year Dorothy and Toto (Rylie and Mia) from the Wizard of Oz were there, Little Red Riding Hood (Mae), a butterfly (Claire) and a Transformer (Kobe) all made an appearance.

Our Families
Josh and I both have "little" brothers who aren't so little anymore. In fact, they are both bigger than us! We are so proud of them!
It's Jacob's first year of college. He's playing soccer at Soka University and living on campus. We have fun going to his games where Rylie yells "Go Soka!". Dave is the assistant coach.
Ben is a senior in high school and playing football. It's Friday Night Lights for the whole family! We have really enjoyed being able to see his games. He's playing wide receiver and strong safety.

Mia Mouse Update
Mia is now 7 months old! She's crawling and trying to figure out how to eat real food. She babbles and laughs. She is such a happy baby, we couldn't be more blessed. She loves to watch Rylie and tries to interact with her as much as possible. It's fun watching the 2 of them together.
Rylie 3 Year Old Update
I can't believe Rylie is 3 years old already. The year is going by so fast. She's still playing with Mae and Kobe and all her cousins. She has now added many new friends from school too! She has a very active imagination and her favorite thing to do is make people laugh. Her favorite saying is "is that funny?" or "does that make you laugh?". She tells us she is a "girly girl, not a tomboy" and in the next sentence she tells us she wants to play football! I wish I could share every moment of her because they are all so cute and/or funny. I don't know what I did before she was here with us!

Eating birthday cupcakes. Let her know when your birthday is and she will demand that she gets to make you cupcakes!
